Our Nature-Based Programs

A program at Casa De Miel consists of the actual activities you’ll engage in while you’re here. These activities are the experiences we offer with our horses and animals, regenerative garden, meditation and mindfulness exercises and more. You let us know the needs and interests of your group of 3-15, and we’ll develop a program unique to you.

Team Building Activities

Build stronger connections and sharpen collaboration skills with our dynamic team‑building games! Our engaging activities—whether problem-solving challenges or trust-building exercises—spark creativity, communication, and joy. Improve your team’s ability to work together in a supportive, nature-filled setting where every participant contributes to shared success.

Horse-Facilitated Experiences / Equine Assisted Learning

Interaction with our gentle, intuitive horses nurtures self-awareness, confidence, and emotional resilience. Join us in a safe, supportive environment where participants of all ages experience hands-on, heart-centered growth as they build trust and communication skills.

Bee Education

Our bees are an essential part of Casa De Miel as pollinators in our garden spaces and, of course, the creators of our delicious honey! Cultivate a deeper appreciation for our hives as you discover their vital role in our ecosystem and bring home the sweet rewards of knowledge and stewardship.

Regenerative Gardening

We believe nature isn’t something that exists just to serve our needs, but that it’s our responsibility to care for and implement restorative practices to help it flourish. Regenerative agriculture teaches us the values of patience, connection, and gratitude that we can carry into every aspect of our lives.

Meditation and Mindfulness

Life can often feel overwhelming and distracting in ways that may lead to feelings of anxiety, loneliness, or disconnection. Our guided meditation and mindfulness exercises can be tailored to meet the needs of any age group or population and offer opportunities to slow down, cultivate focus, reduce stress, and deepen present-moment awareness.

  • "Being in this nourishing space brought a sense of community and connection not just with the people at Casa de Miel but also with nature. We left feeling uplifted, grounded, and at ease after carrying so much anxiety and grief from the loss of loved ones."

    Dominique Graves,
Program Director of Campus Based Services,
    Communities In Schools Central Texas

  • "Thank you for such an enjoyable, beautifully-facilitated opportunity to connect with our team in a deeper way! I'm reminded yet again how much of the human drama, the suffering, the worry is all superimposed on our landscapes and in our lives. Being among trees & in hammocks together, I felt a long-overdue sense of surrender, season, calm and presence. Our retreat gave many team members an opportunity to express their hope for more positivity and connection. This is a first for us, and it felt like a real turning point. I bet that work will feel different between us, going forward. Casa de Miel team, you are brilliant at creating these nurturing, reflective spaces. <3"

    Lindsay Razzaz,

Director of Strategic Partnerships, Communities in Schools

  • "On April 2, 2025, 7 members of the Marbridge leadership team participated in a team building outing led by CDM. Although BBQ was a great conclusion to the outing, the team left with so much more. The visit and time spent together was an excellent reminder in being still and present. As a team, we were able to better align our virtues and connect in a manner that is often overlooked. The connection with nature and animals was much needed. Thank you again for being such gracious hosts."

    Marcus Mercer,

Vice President of Operations, Marbridge Foundation

  • "Our team had the incredible opportunity to come together in person for the first time in Austin, TX, and experience a truly unforgettable day with Casa De Miel. From connecting with the horses and harvesting fresh ingredients from the garden, to cooking together, engaging with the animals, and literally building foundations as a team—every moment was intentional, grounding, and unlike anything we’ve ever done before. Casa De Miel created space for both personal reflection and authentic team connection in a way that felt natural, meaningful, and deeply impactful. We still talk about our time there and hope to return one day. There’s truly nothing like what CDM provides!"
